I came across this somewhere on Facebook a few days ago and it struck me as maybe one of the most inspiring and positive things I’ve seen regarding the lock-down we’re experiencing.
I believe time is a gift. And yes, this pandemic is ugly and horrifying, but if you are well and asked to simply stay at home to stay safe, how can you possibly complain, considering everything that’s going on around the world?
So why not try to look for the silver lining? These past few weeks I had time to do a much needed spring cleaning. Took care of my bookcases, tidied up my books and vinyls, finally had time to read all those books I’ve wanted to.
Time is such a precious gift. And I also thought, since this will take a while before we’re back to normal, why not learn something new? Why not try to improve myself? So I’ve added French lessons and yoga classes to my new weekly routine.
And you can do this -and more- at the comfort of your house. Thanks to the world wide web.
I want to be a better version of myself when this is all over.
I hope you are safe during these testing times and taking care of yourselves.
How are you holding up? And what have you decided to learn?
